HEX20 Unveils MAYA-V1: A New Era of Hosted Payload Missions

Introducing HEX20’s Multi-Application Yearly Assimilated Vehicle (MAYA-V) series of missions for hosted payloads

One Platform, Multiple Missions, Infinite Possibilities.

Building on the success of our NILA rideshare missions, MAYA-V1 represents the next step in HEX20’s evolving mission roadmap. More than a satellite, MAYA-V1 leverages HEX20’s NX series spacecraft bus and provides a flexible rideshare platform designed to enable scalable, secure, and application-driven space missions.

Designed as a 16U-class LEO satellite with a mission life exceeding one year, MAYA-V1 is built to validate next-generation technologies directly in space – accelerating the transition from concept to in-orbit capability.

Enabling Next-Generation Payload Validation

MAYA-V1 brings together payloads from our first cohort of mission partners at the intersection of science, security, and in-orbit system validation:

Mission Space builds a space weather intelligence platform for mission planning and operations across Earth orbit and cislunar space. Mission Space’s silicon-based radiation telescope integrated with a Cherenkov detector system enables real-time monitoring of the near-Earth radiation environment providing key insights for space weather monitoring and forecasting. This collaboration supports the development of a space weather intelligence platform for mission planning and operations across Earth orbit and cislunar space, combining proprietary sensors with software to deliver tailored forecasts, alerts, modelled outputs, and validated data tied to real mission conditions.

Green Propulsion System Validation – Demonstrating in-orbit manoeuvrability, station-keeping and VLEO capabilities to enable scalable, mission-ready propulsion systems.

Why This Matters

As the demand for agile, mission-ready space infrastructure grows, platforms like MAYA-V1 play a critical role in reducing the gap between innovation and deployment. By enabling in-orbit validation of advanced technologies, HEX20 is contributing to a future where space systems are more adaptable, responsive, and operationally efficient.

This is HEX20’s vision in motion: enabling the next generation of space innovation, one mission at a time.
